In this look we’ll be discussing the famous Blue sari look that Deepika Padukone carried with great sensuality in the song “Badtamiz Dil”. Sari may have been given its new avatar by Actress Priyanka Chopra but it sure does look as good on Deepika Padukone, in fact some may say it looks even better.
Deepika Padukone has worn a navy blue sari with a gold Gota ruffled border on one side and a blue sequenced border on the other side. She carries this sari with a black halter neck blouse, which is made of net and satin, and the cups are coved with sequence work.
Instead of a blue you can choose any dark color plain sari and pair it up with a black blouse. You can go light with this i.e. pair a white sari with a dark plain blouse.
If your are not comfortable wearing a halter neck blouse you can pair your sari with a black sleeveless or with sleeves blouse.
Makeup & Hair :
Considering you are going be creating this look for a party some foundation is a must. Black smokey eyes with nude lips is what Deepika has done and this is what we recommend also. Luckily with smoky eyes you do not need a whole lot of other makeup, so you can be done pretty quickly. Hair is washed, conditioned and styled. You could blow dry it to natural curls or tie it in a bun.
For accessories you can opt for a heavy pair of earrings or a necklace. Make sure you don’t wear both as it may just look too heavy and may take away the focus from your face.
Footwear can be party sandals with or without heels as per your comfort. This is a fairly elegant yet economical look. Plain saries are available quite easily, Gota and sequence borders are fairly inexpensive, you can sew them on yourselves or get it done through a tailor. Likewise black sequence blouses are reasonably available in the market. Therefore we will give it 5 on 5 in our speedometer of Style, Comfort, Ease, Economy and Originality.
